LaTonya Crumwell, M.Ed., LCMHC, NCC

Hello, and welcome! I'm LaTonya Crumwell, M.Ed., LCMHC, NCC, and I'm so glad you're here.

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming. It requires courage, vulnerability, and hope. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, I want you to know that you don't have to navigate it alone.

My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, compassion, authenticity, and respect. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you feel heard, valued, and empowered to share your story. Every person who walks through my door is unique, and I believe your treatment should be just as individualized.

With extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, older adults, couples, and families, I take a holistic approach to counseling by considering the connection between your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, spirituality, and overall well-being. Together, we'll explore the challenges you're facing, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical tools that promote healing, resilience, and lasting change.

My therapeutic style is integrative and flexible, allowing me to tailor treatment to your specific needs and goals. I primarily draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help identify and change unhelpful thinking patterns, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help process traumatic experiences and reduce emotional distress, and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) to challenge limiting beliefs and build healthier ways of thinking.

I am also trained in Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS), providing compassionate, collaborative care for individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts. In addition, I am certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), both highly effective treatments for trauma and PTSD. For younger clients, I incorporate Play Therapy techniques to help children communicate, process emotions, and heal in developmentally appropriate ways.

Above all, my goal is to meet you where you are. Therapy is not about "fixing" you—it's about helping you discover your strengths, develop healthier coping strategies, and move toward the life you want to live. Healing is a journey, and you don't have to walk it alone.

Thank you for considering me as part of your healing journey. It would be an honor to walk alongside you as you grow, heal, and discover your path forward.
